For feeding a mobile filter press the manufacturer was looking for a compact efficient pumping system capable to operate over a wide range of flow and pressure. The BÖRGER "TWO STEP POWER PACK” was chosen. This system utilizes two Rotary Lobe Pumps with one common drive equipped with auxiliary pipework and fitted on a common baseframe. The system starts operating both pumps in parallel at high flow and low pressure. When the pressure achieves 8 bars (116 psi) the valves are switched and than both pumps operate in series. This enables the combined system to reach the final pressure of 16 bars (232 psi).
